Question:How often is the USPTO database updated?

Answer:
The database is normally updated every Tuesday, the day patents are issued. Exceptions may occur for Federal holidays and when problems arise with data availability.

Question:In order to disclose the appearance of the claimed design you must provide sufficient protographs.

Answer:
The drawings or photographs should contain a sufficient number of views to completely disclose the appearance of the claimed design, i.e., front, rear, right and left sides, top and bottom.

Question:What is Patent Term Restoration?

Answer:
Patents issued by the Patent Trademark Office (PTO) grant patent holders the right to exclude others from making, using, or selling an invention.
